 |

 |
486 processor |
 |

Windows 95 |

 |
This version was designed for
use with the Windows "English(United States)" locale setting.
InferenceTrade has not been `internationalized` and--due to differences
in the date and number format (e.g 1,234.56 vs 1.234,56) etc.--will not
work with other regional settings. If you wish to use
InferenceTrade and your computer is not set to "English(United States),
then you can change this setting, use: Windows
Start >Settings >ControlPanel >RegionalOptions(Settings)
and change to `English(United States)` , then--depending on the Windows
version--click either `Apply` (Win2000) or Restart the Computer
(Win95)."
Changing this setting may affect the function of other programs on your
system. So, when finished using InferenceTrade, you may want to change
the setting back to where it was.
(Check back with this website in the future for news of any upcoming new
international versions. An international version will appear
sooner if there is enough demand for one, so if you would like one to be
available soon, send an
email.) |

Most InferenceTrade functions
will execute at an acceptable speed (a few seconds) on a "minimum" 486
system. However, a few calculation intensive functions like the
Walk-forward Validator, or the Portfolio working on a large number of
charts, will take a long time (hours) to calculate on a 486. A
fast processor will GREATLY increase the amount of experiments you can
perform with these functions. |
 |
InferenceTrade has been tested on
Windows 95, 98, ME, and 2000. It has not been tested on Windows
XP, but it should work in this case too. |
 |
The Windows 95 modem
auto-connect feature is unreliable, so certain InferenceTrade internet
related features may fail to automatically connect when needed, and
may require simple user assistance to connect--otherwise, everything
else works fine. With versions of Windows 98 or higher,
auto-connect works well. |
